Appeal following theft of quad bikes near Bewerley

North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information about a burglary that occurred on the edge of Hardcastle Moor, near Merryfield Mines, West Lane, Bewerley.

The incident ocurred on 23rd September 2015 at around 9pm. Unknown offenders broke into a barn and stole three quad bikes. The offenders then rode  the bikes all the way along West Lane and through Bewerley village around 9.30pm.

We are conducting enquiries and are requesting the public’s assistance to help determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

In particular, we are appealing for information from anyone who may have seen the quad bikes being driven through Bewerley or in the area. In addition anyone who may have seen a van or vans or trailer parked up in the area or who saw any unfamiliar person or vehicle on West Lane or any of the tracks and paths in that area earlier in the evening.
