Appeal following a theft at the Yorkshire Showgrounds

North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information about the theft of tools and plant material that occurred at Hookstone Woods near the Yorkshire Showgrounds in Harrogate

The theft took place at the Hookstone Woods near the Yorkshire Showgrounds  sometime between 2pm on Sunday 3 July 2016 and 7am Monday 4 July 2016 and involved offenders gaining access to a secure construction site forcing a secure container and removing a quantity of tools and plant material.

We are conducting enquiries and are requesting the public’s assistance to help determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

In particular, we are appealing for information from anyone who was in the area at the time and noticed any suspicion person’s accessing the fenced site during the evening or morning hours.
