Appeal following two commercial burglaries in Whitby

North Yorkshire Police are appealing for witnesses and information about two burglaries that occurred in Whitby.

Both Burglaries occurred overnight Monday 23rd February into Tuesday 24th February 2015.

Overnight, offenders have gained entry to Beavers furniture store on Stakesby Vale and stolen an amount of cash from within.

Also, at around 03:50hrs on Tuesday offenders have gained entry to the post office on Upgang Lane by breaking the font window. A quantity of cigarettes were stolen.

Offenders have been described as three males dressed in dark clothing and carrying a large bag.

We are conducting enquiries and are requesting the public’s assistance to help determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident. In particular if anyone has been offered or bought “Cheap” cigarettes.
