Appeal following York sexual assault

North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information about a sexual assault that occurred in York.

It happened on Three Cranes Lane shortly before 11pm on 23 November 2019, and involved a woman being sexually assaulted by a male at the end of the alley by St Sampsons Square, between the Three Cranes pub and Pizza Express.

A 54-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident, and released under investigation while enquiries continue.

We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
