Appeal for fraudster

North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information about a fraud that occurred in Crosshills.

It happened Main St, Crosshills at 12.45pm on 15 September 2015 and involved a man entering two shops and buying low monetary value items with a high value note then confusing the shop assistant about his change causing him to fraudulently be given more change than he was due.

We are conducting enquiries and are requesting the public’s assistance to help determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

In particular, we are appealing for information about the identity of the man. He is described as a white man, with short dark hair with a side parting, wearing cream/beige jeans and a black polo style T-shirt.
