Appeal for information after woman was inappropriately touched in York

Police are appealing for information after a woman was sexually touched in York.

At around midnight on Saturday 13 October 2018 the woman was in York City Centre when she hailed what she believed to be a taxi near Pavement in York.

A silver coloured car stopped for her and the male driver asked her to sit in the front of the car.

On arrival at her destination the driver leaned over to the woman and touched her inappropriately.

He is described as Arabic in appearance and has dark hair and a well-trimmed dark beard. He is described as having thick eyebrows and a distinctive nose. He is believed to be approximately 6 feet tall and of a slender build and a smoker.
