Appeal for information after York city centre assault

North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information after a man was assaulted on Micklegate

The incident happened around 3.45am on Thursday 19 September when a man suffered an unprovoked attack, sustaining injuries to his face which required hospital treatment. He has since been discharged from hospital and is home with his family.

We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident in particular anyone who witnessed it occur or might know who is responsible.
