Appeal for information following 2-in-1 burglary in Harrogate

North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information about a residential burglary at a property on Westbourne Avenue Harrogate.

Thieves gained entry to the property on Westbourne Avenue, Harrogate between 1-6am on Tuesday 28 July 2020.

They took the victims  car keys and stole two vehicles from the driveway; a Audi Q7 registration YH66 MHR and a black Toyota Hilux registration YF69 EYF . The victims handbag was also taken, but later located outside the property, but was missing a deep red Kate Spade purse and a distinctive make up bag.

Since the theft, officers have successfully located the Audi. However, they are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident and to assist them in locating the thieves and tracing the Toyota.

Anyone who has any information about the  stolen vehicles – a black Audi Q7 VRM YH66 MHR and a black Toyota Hilux VRM YF69EYF – who may have seen the vehicles driving in the area or who has information that could assist the investigation is asked to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option 2, and ask for Liz Estensen.
