Appeal for information following serious assault in Richmond

Police are appealing for information and witnesses following a serious assault on a man in Richmond.

Police were contacted at 9.20pm Sunday 18 August 2019 by ambulance services to a report of a man with stab injuries at a property in Richmond. The man stated the injuries had been sustained at Garden Village whilst he was walking his dog.

Paramedics treated the man at the property and he was taken to hospital for further treatment. However his injuries are not thought to be life threatening or life changing.

Officers are appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time, who may of witnessed the incident, or anyone who has any information which could assist their enquiries, to contact them.

A 27-year-old man from Catterick has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and currently remains in police custody.
