Appeal for witnesses after male assaulted in York city centre

North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information about an assault that occurred in York

At approximately 00:40 hours on Saturday 10 February 2018 whilst waiting to use the cash point on Rougier Street, the victim was punched in the face causing significant injuries.
After attending York District Hospital the victim has received treatment for two broken teeth, a broken cheekbone and a broken nose due to this incident.

The suspect has been described as in his late twenties, approximately 6 foot tall, light brown short hair with stubble facial hair.

Police are appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time and saw what happened or can help identify the suspect to contact them.
