Appeal for witnesses after woman struck with bottle in Scarborough

Police are appealing for information following an incident in Scarborough which left a woman with a serious head injury.

The victim, a 31-year-old local woman, was walking along Pavilion Terrace at 5pm on Saturday 22 June 2019, near to the Rice and Spice restaurant, when she was struck by a glass bottle.

The bottle struck the woman on the forehead, leaving her with a deep laceration. She was taken to Scarborough District Hospital for treatment.

Police are conducting enquiries to determine who threw the bottle at the woman and are appealing for witnesses to the incident to contact them.
