Police are trying to identify a vehicle following a commercial burglary in Hinderwell.

Appeal to identify a vehicle following recent commercial burglary

Officers want to identify the vehicle to assist the investigation into a commercial burglary in Hinderwell.

The incident happened on Monday 2 October at Hinderwell Service Station, Hinderwell.

At approximately 11.45pm on Monday 2 October, the vehicle was seen approaching the service station from the Coronation Avenue area and parks along Browns Terrace.

Moments later, two offenders broke into the service station by smashing one of the large front windows, entered the property and stole £2,000 worth of cigarettes and tobacco.

The same vehicle was then seen travelling on  the A174 towards Whitby.

The headlights of the car and are distinctive and the car has five spoke alloy wheels.
