North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information after a spate of shed and outbuilding burglaries in Osmotherley .

The incidents took place between 4pm on Tuesday 6 December and 7 am on Wednesday 7 December 2016. At this time police are aware of three confirmed attacks on secure sheds, one resulting in the theft of items to the value of £2,000.

We are conducting enquiries and requesting local residents assistance to help determine the full circumstances surrounding these incidents.

In particular, we are appealing for information about any suspicious vehicles or people seen in or around the village on that night.

This is also a prompt for residents to check their sheds and outbuildings after this incident, remembering to secure all valuables as this may prevent further thefts.
