Appeal to find owner of suspected stolen mountain bike

Police have arrested a suspect and recovered a number of cycles stolen from a secure compound at Bootham Green off Newborough Street, York.

The theft happened at 8.20pm on 6 February 2021, and involved suspects wearing dark clothing taking bikes from the compound.

One suspect was located nearby on a Scott mountain bike and arrested. He has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.

All of the bikes have been recovered and are in the process of being returned to their owners, with the exception of the Scott mountain bike. Officers would like to locate the owner of this bike.
