Appeal for witnesses to collision on the Nunnington to Wombleton Road at the junction with Muscoates Lane

North Yorkshire Police are appealling for witnesses to a collision on the Nunnington to Wombleton Road at the junction with Muscoates Lane.

The collision occurred at 8.20pm on Wednesday 23 September, when a black Peugot 206 believed to be heading from Nunnington to Wombleton collided with a 40-year-old male pedestrian. It’s believed the man, who is from Northern Ireland, was jogging in the opposite direction at the time.

The car driver and passenger were uninjured, however the male pedestrian received serious injuries.

Anyone who witnessed the collision or has any information which could assist enquiries is asked to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option 2 and ask for Traffic Constable Paul Long quoting log number 12150168601.
