Appeal for witnesses or information to burglary at Selby Working Mens Club

North Yorkshire Police are appealing for information regarding a burglary which occurred in the early hours at Selby Working Mens Club on The Quay in Selby, on Sunday 3 July 2016.

At some time between 12.30am to 7.00am thieves forced entry into the club by smashing the front doors of the building. Once inside the property they went on to caused damage to internal doors and damaged two fruit machines by trying to break in to them.

The thieves then went on to steal a substantial amount of cash and remove a safe from the property.

Anyone who has any information which would assist the investigation or anyone who may have witnessed anything suspicious is asked to contact police on 101 and selection option 2 and ask to speak to PC Neil Morris. Police are particularly appealing to anyone who was in the nearby Square Bar, who may have witnessed something.
