Appeal following York road traffic collision

North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information about a road traffic collision that occurred on Boroughbridge Road junction with Malvern Avenue, York.

It happened at approximately 8am on Tuesday 28 March 2017 and involved a silver 4×4 vehicle and a female cyclist.

The female cyclist received several broken ribs and broken fingers on her left hand. Due to her injuries she was taken to York District Hospital by ambulance and remains in hospital awaiting an operation.

The driver of the 4×4 vehicle is assisting police with the investigation.

We are appealing for witnesses to the collision or anyone who recalls seeing the vehicle or cyclist prior to the collision, to get in touch as soon as possible to assist the investigation.
