Police investigate suspected arson at Kirkbymoorside

North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information about a suspected arson at a house in Kirkbymoorside.

The incident happened at Howe End at around 9.45pm on Wednesday 20 December 2017.

Entry had been forced into the property and a small fire started within the living room, causing damage to furniture and fixtures and fittings.

There were no reports of injuries and nobody has been arrested at this stage.

Officers investigating the circumstances of the incident are appealing for local people to come forward with any information that could assist enquiries, particularly anyone seen entering the property over recent days.
