Assault on Greenfield Street, Skipton

North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information about an assault which occurred on Greenfield Street, Skipton.

It happened on Friday 30th June 2017 at around 8.30pm close to the grassed area.

This involved a 50-year-old man allegedly chasing another man aged in his 70s and striking him with a cricket bat. The victim has then ran into a house nearby.

The suspect was arrested and taken into custody for questioning. He has been released under investigation.

The victim received treatment at hospital.

We are conducting enquiries and are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

In particular, we are appealing for anybody who may have witnessed this incident.
