Woman assaulted at York city centre taxi rank

North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information after a woman was assaulted at a York taxi rank.

It happened on Duncombe Place, York, in the early hours of Sunday, 4 February 2018.

At around 12.35am there was an altercation involving men and women which resulted in a woman being assaulted. A man who was involved left the area before police arrived.

He is described as white, 5ft 8ins tall with dark hair and wearing dark clothing.

We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
