Appeal following assault in Selby

North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information about an assault that occurred on Finkle street in Selby.

It happened on Finkle street between midnight and 1am on Sunday 14th August 2016 and involved a group of five or six men aged mid 20’s punching a man in the face.

The 18 year old victim suffered slight bruising to the left side of his face. No medical treatment was required

We are conducting enquiries and are requesting the public’s assistance to help determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

In particular, we are appealing for information about who these males were and what circumstances provoked the incident
