Attempt theft of moped in Scarborough

North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information about an attempt theft of a moped that occurred in Scarborough.

It happened at Heathcliffe Gardens, Scarborough, at 21:50hrs on Monday 6 April 2015 when two males atempted to carry away a moped. The offenders were disturbed and dropped the moped and ran off along Colescliffe Road.

We are conducting enquiries and are requesting the public’s assistance to help determine the identity of the suspects.

The first male was wearing a red hooded top with thehood up. The second male was wearing a dark blue hooded top with the hood up.

Anyone with information that could assist the investigation should contact us on 101, select option 2, and ask for Scarborough Police.
