Attempted burglary in York suburb

North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information about an attempted burglary that occurred in Juniper Close, New Earswick, York.

It happened between the hours of 3pm on Sunday, 12 May and 7pm the next day. Someone tried to break the lock at the rear of a residential premise on the street.

We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

In particular, we are appealing for information about any suspicious activity in the area and appeal for witnesses to any unknown people or vehicles seen lurking in the street.
