Bags stolen in Harrogate car break-in

Police are appealing for witnesses after a car was broken into in Harrogate.

At sometime between 9pm and 9.20pm on 30 December 2014, a concrete slab was thrown through the front passenger window of a small silver Mercedes parked opposite the Coop on St Winifred’s Avenue and two black leather bags were stole from inside.

Officers are appealing to anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area around the time of the incident to get in touch.

In particular, officers would like to speak to anyone who saw a man in the area around the time of the incident. He is described as being around 5ft 9in tall and was wearing a grey and white checked jacket.

Anyone who can help the investigation is urged to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101 – select option 2 – and ask for PC Brendon Frith or Harrogate police.
