Benches damaged in Scarborough

North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information about an act of criminal damage in Scarborough.

It happened in The Italian Gardens, South Cliff, sometime overnight between the 28 and 29 May 2015, when two memorial benches were severely damaged.

We are conducting enquiries and are requesting the public’s assistance to help determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

In particular, we are appealing for information about anyone  seen in the area acting suspiciously.
