Burglary at Scarborough primary school

North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information about a burglary at Braeburn School, Eastfield.

It happened at around 11.30pm on Monday 1 April 2019.

A double-glazed door was smashed using a paving slab and offenders entered the nursery of the school. The offenders made an untidy search of the nursery before making off prior to police arriving. A number of other windows at the school were also smashed.

Some of the nursery children’s work was also damaged.

We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

In particular, we are appealing for information from anyone who was any suspicious activity around the school on the evening of April 1.
