CCTV appeal after alcohol theft in York

Police want to speak to a man pictured on CCTV after almost £300 of alcohol was stolen from a supermarket in York.

It happened at Sainsbury’s on Monks Cross Retail Park.

A man on a mobility scooter was pictured in the drink aisle of the shop when the spirits were stolen.

Police want to trace him in connection with their enquiries.

The incident happened on 5 August and police have carried out a number of enquiries since then to try to identify the man they are looking for, which have proved unsuccessful.
