Update: Man identified following CCTV appeal

Following the below appeal, a man has been identified and charged in connection with the incident. Thank you to all those who provided us with information.

Original release: CCTV appeal after bus window smashed

Police in York have issued a CCTV image of a man they want to speak to after a bus window was smashed.

At around 5pm on 20 December 2017 a York First Bus with passengers on board was travelling over Ouse Bridge when a passing cyclist punched a window and smashed it. No-one on board was injured. 

Officers  are appealing to any members of the public who can help identify the man shown in the CCTV image to contact them.
