CCTV appeal following assault on Duncombe Place, York

Officers are appealing for information to help identify a man following an assault in Duncombe Place, York.

The incident happened at approximately 2.45am on Tuesday 8 January 2019 and involved three men.Two men had a verbal altercation, which resulted in one of the men physically assaulting another man, knocking him to the ground.  The victim, a 19-year-old man, was taken to hospital by ambulance where he had to have treatment for facial injuries and subsequently had to return to hospital the following day after suffering symptoms of concussion.

Officers want to speak to the man in the image in connection with the incident as they believe he may have information which can assist the investigation.
