Man identified following CCTV appeal

The man that officers wanted to speak to in connection with the serious assault that occurred in Harrogate has been identified.

North Yorkshire Police is appealing for information from the public to help identify the man in CCTV images, after a serious assault that occurred in Harrogate at around midnight on 22 December 2017..

Officers want to speak to the man in connection with the incident, which involved an altercation between a group of men, between McDonalds and the Cenotaph, Harrogate.

One man sustained serious injuries to his leg for which he was treated at Harrogate Hospital before being discharged.

We are requesting the public’s assistance to help identify the man pictured on CCTV as he may have important information that could assist the investigation.

Anyone who recognises the man in the CCTV image or who has any information, including those who provided initial first aid to the victim, is asked to contact police.
