CCTV appeal following theft of whisky in Leyburn

North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information about a shoplifting incident that occurred in Leyburn.

It happened at the Co-op, on Market Place, Leyburn on 11 April 2019 and involved two females (pict ured) whom we are trying to identify.

They entered the store at around 1.43pm and left without making any attempt to pay for the ten bottles of whisky that they had picked up.

They then entered the store for a second time around 2pm and left without making any attempt to pay for the one bottle of whisky that they had picked up.

We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

In particular, we are appealing for information about the identities of the females in the CCTV images.
