Update: man identified following CCTV appeal

Original release: CCTV Appeal following theft from Tesco store in York

North Yorkshire Police have released CCTV footage a man they would like to speak to regarding the theft of some alcohol from the Tesco store on Piccadilly, York.

The man entered the store at 4.47pm on Monday 14 November 2016. CCTV captures the man leaving the store with a bottle of wine and a crate of bottled Budweiser beer having made no attempt to pay for them.

The man is described as being white, approx. 5ft 8ins tall of medium build and in his mid-twenties. He had short dark hair and was wearing a light blue jacket, dark blue trousers and either red shoes or shoes with red shoe laces. He was carrying a black Adidas rucksack on his back.

Anyone who recognises the man or who has any information which could assist the investigation is asked to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option 2 and ask for Oliver Lewis.
