Cyclist who died following a collision with a parked car in York is named

Police are now in a position to name the male cyclist who died following a collision with a parked car at 7.15pm on Sunday 7 April 2019 on Holgate Road in York.

He was 51-year-old Colin Darren Marron from York.

Mr Marron was taken to Leeds General Infirmary following the collision, but sadly died later the next day.

An investigation is currently ongoing to determine the circumstances around the incident. Anyone who has any information or who witnessed the collision, but has not yet contacted police is asked to dial 101, select option 1 and pass the information to the Force Control Room.
