Woman, 84, dies after collision in Northallerton

Police are appealing for witnesses to a fatal collision involving a pedestrian and a lorry in Northallerton.

It happened on Brompton Road near Kwik Fit in Northallerton at around  12 noon on Friday 4 September and involved a Blue Scania HGV.

Sadly, the pedestrian, an 84 year old woman from Stokesley died in the collision.

The driver of the HGV, a man in his 50s from the Catterick area, was uninjured and he is now assisting police with their enquiries.

Anyone who witnessed the collision, or who saw the vehicle prior to the collision, is asked to contact police.
