Handbag stolen from car near Nidd Gorge

North Yorkshire Police has released a CCTV image of a man they want to speak to about a theft from a car.

It happened at Nidd Gorge car park, Scotton Banks, and involved the rear window of a car being smashed and a hand bag being stolen from the back seat. The owner was walking her dog at the time.

We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

In particular, we are appealing for information about any suspects that might have been seen in the car park on the morning of the incident, which happened between 9am and 10.10am on Tuesday, 3 November.

Police are now trying to identify a man on CCTV who was wearing a green jacket, possibly a wax/Barbour style, and black trousers. He was bald and around 5ft 8ins to 5ft 10ins tall.
