Harrogate man charged with making threats to kill

A 47-year-old man from Harrogate has appeared at Northallerton Magistrates' Court charged with two counts of making threats to kill.

The charges relate to an incident in Rehab Bar on Parliament Street in Harrogate during the early hours of Saturday 28 February 2015.

Although charges have been brought in this case, police are still urging witnesses to come forward.

In particular, officers would like to speak to anyone who came to the aid of a woman who was allegedly being threatened by a man either in Rehab Bar or further down the street towards Debenhams at around 2.10am on Saturday.

The victim, a woman in her 40s, is being supported by North Yorkshire Police.
