Hate crime public order offence witness appeal in York

North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information about a hate crime public order offence that occurred at Millennium Bridge in York

It happened at on Saturday 6 October 2018 at around 2.30pm, when a man walking his dog was subjected to offensive comments of a homophobic nature, by an individual in a group of four young people, three male and one female.

We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

In particular, we are appealing for information from anyone who may have witnessed this take place or know those responsible.
