High value bikes stolen in break-in near Whitby

Police are appealing for witnesses and information after an expensive collection of bikes were stolen during a burglary near Whitby.

Five bikes worth around £9,000 were taken after a shed was broken into at a property in Glaisdale at sometime overnight between Wednesday 7 January and Thursday 8 January 2015.

The bikes stolen in the break-in are described as follows:
•A white and black Norco-Sight 2 full Suspension mountain bike
•A green Giant-Reign full suspension mountain bike
•A red and black Specialized Crux racing bike
•A white, blue and green Pinarello FP Due racing bike
•A white and pink Specialized Ruby ladies racing bike

Officers are appealing to anyone who has been offered the bikes for sale or has any other information about the theft to get in touch.
Anyone who can help officers with their enquiries is urged to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101 – select option 2 – and ask for PC Peter Diggle or Whitby police.
