High value theft at New Earswick building site

North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information about a commercial burglary that occurred at New Lodge building site in New Earswick.

The burglary took place at the New Lodge building site behind the New Earswick Folk Hall on Hawthorne Terrace in York at some point between the evening of Friday 2 August 2019 and 7am on Monday 5 August 2019. At this stage it is thought that the resulting damage which has been caused and the value items taken amount to over £10,000.

Police are appeal to the public for any information which results in the recovery of these items or the identification of those involved. Items taken included high value drills, saws and laser levels.

This burglary has had a major impact on local tradesmen working on the site.
