Man who headbutted another man and broke his nose is sought by police in York

North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information about an assault in York that left a man with a broken nose.

The victim, in his 20s, was headbutted by an unknown man in what is believed to be an unprovoked attack.

It happened on Duncombe Place at around 3.50am on Sunday (10 December 2017).

The victim attended hospital and was treated for a broken nose.

We are conducting enquiries and are requesting the public’s assistance to help determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

In particular, we are appealing for information from anyone who was in the area at that time and saw the assault.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 5ft10, aged between 20 and 30 and was wearing a red hat.
