Man attacked and punched in the face in Scarborough

North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information about an assault that occurred in Scarborough.

The victim was standing on the bridge waiting for a friend when a man approached him from behind, dragged him to the floor and punched him in the face.

The victim sustained minor injuries during the incident. The victim is not able to provide police with a description due to been attacked from behind.

It happened on Spa Bridge at 7.55pm on 15 January 2019. We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
