Man injured in Scarborough nightclub attack

Detectives are appealing for witnesses after a man suffered serious facial injuries when he was assaulted in a Scarborough nightclub.

The victim, a 35-year-old local man, sustained a broken jaw, which required surgery, when he was punched in the face in Vivaz nightclub on Huntriss Row at around 1.30am on 20 December 2014.

The victim was standing next to the dancefloor when he was attacked.

He lost his glasses in the incident but they were returned to him by another man later that night.

Officers would like to speak to the man who returned the victim’s glasses as he may have information vital to the investigation.

The police would also like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident or has any other information that can help their enquiries.
