Man seriously injured in Harrogate collision

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was seriously injured in a road traffic collision in Harrogate.

The man aged in his 20s, suffered a serious head injury when his black MG ZR collided with a blue Skoda near St Marks Church on the A61 Leeds Road at around 5.30am on Sunday 31 May 2015.

The MG was travelling from Leeds towards Harrogate town centre when it hit the Skoda travelling in the opposite direction and then collided with a tree.

A silver Mercedes was damaged after being hit by debris from the collision.

Officers are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision or saw any of the cars prior to the incident to contact them with information.

Anyone who can help officers with their enquiries is urged to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101 – select option 2 – and ask for Traffic Constable Steve James or Harrogate Roads Policing Group.
