Man suffers fractured skull in York assault

Police have issued CCTV of three men they would like to speak to following a serious assault in York city centre.

The victim was walking along Clifford Street with his brother when the offender has approached him and punched him to the head.

This caused the victim to fall to the floor and lose consciousness. The victim was transported via ambulance to York District Hospital where he was treated and discharged following treatment.

The victim sustained a skull fracture and a bleed on his brain.

The incident occurred on Clifford Street York at approximately 2.35am on Saturday 8 December 2018.

The offender is believed to have been with two other men and a woman before the assault occurred .

We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish any witnesses and identifying the people seen in the CCTV images.
