We’re appealing for information about a burglary that occurred in Heworth. It happened at approximately 10:45pm last night (Tuesday 27 May 2025) at a property on Waterside Gardens.
The suspect forced entry into a garage and attempted to steal a high value motorbike before he was disturbed by the occupants.
The suspect is described as a man in his early 20s, approximately 5 foot 9 in height, of skinny build. He was wearing a dark coloured jacket with a bright colour inside, dark coloured trousers, and dark shoes.
We’re particularly appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the man in the area, anyone who witnessed the burglary itself or anyone else with any ring doorbell or CCTV footage of a person matching that description in the area around this time.
If you can help please email [email protected] Alternatively, you can call North Yorkshire Police on 101 and ask for Josh Wands-Murray and quote log reference 12250095277 to pass any information.
