Police Officer injured as two are arrested on suspicion of vehicle theft in Craven

North Yorkshire Police received a report of a stolen vehicle at 10am on Tuesday 12 November 2019 in Sutton-in-Craven.

Officers attended and during the incident an officer received injuries to his head. He was taken by ambulance to hospital for treatment before being discharged.

Two people were arrested – a 19 year-old man from Keighley on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle and a 21 year-old man from Keighley on suspicion of assaulting a police officer and theft of a motor vehicle.

Both have been released under investigation whilst enquiries continue.

The vehicle was recovered shortly after using its tracking device.
