Woman’s body recovered on Staithes coast

Officers attended and Lifeboat crews recovered a woman’s body at around 2pm. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene and her body was taken to a nearby hospital. Enquiries are ongoing to formally identify her and her death is not being treated as suspicious.

 North Yorkshire Police officers attended North Bay at 5.10am yesterday following a report of a fire that spread through several chalets. A number of other chalets had also been broken into.
