Police appeal after disturbance in York

Police are appealing for witnesses to a disturbance in York that left a man with injuries to his face.

Officers were called to Huntington Road, adjacent to the roundabout with Monkgate, on Friday 1 September 2017 at approximately 2.30pm.

The disturbance involved two men in their 40s, one of whom suffered bruising to his face.

The other man was arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and has been released on bail while investigations continue.

Officers would like anyone who witnessed the incident to get in touch by calling North Yorkshire Police on 101, selecting option 2 and asking for Samantha Mackenzie.
