Police ‘caravan convoy’ appeal after Selby thefts

Last modified: 27 April 2021 at 05:01pm

Police are asking people in the Selby area to check CCTV and dashcam footage, and report any sightings of a convoy of stolen caravans.

Between 3pm on Monday 26 April and 12pm the following day, offenders entered a caravan storage area in a field north of Selby.

Five caravans were stolen. It is believed they were driven across fields in the direction of Cawood, and left the area in an unknown direction. However, one line of enquiry is that they may have subsequently travelled to Sherburn in Elmet and on towards the A1(M).

Anybody who saw a convoy of caravans travelling in the area at the time of the thefts is asked to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101. Please quote reference 12210106875 when passing information.
