Scarborough: Appeal following second burglary at Costcutter

North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information about a second burglary at the Costcutter shop on Ramshill Road, Scarborough.

On  18 January 2020 at approximately 2.45am, a suspect has smashed the glass front door and made of with cigarettess and alcohol.

This is the second incident within a week where the shop has been broken into.

Police are investigating this latest incident and it is possible the incidents maybe linked.

We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

In particular, we are appealing for information about anyone acting suspiciously in the area around the time of the offence.
